Every wanted to become Batman, or at least come what close to him?  I’m going to admit that I have wanted to be like him ever since I was about 5 years old.  Unfortunately, when it comes to real life, being Batman isn’t the most achievable of goals.  However, there is one aspect of his life that I have started to incorporate more into my daily routine, and I feel a lot more like a super hero for it.

Since I saw the Val Kilmer series  of the Batman movies, I’ve been intrigued by the scene where he is hanging upside down early in the morning, just as a bat would.  He looked so peaceful  and at rest, and so when I read a very interesting inversion table review for the first time I decided I had to try it – heck if it works for the Bat, then why not me?

It is hard to think just how long Disney has been around for, and how much it has changed since the days of those black and white Mickey Mouse cartoons. They have been the thing that collectors flock too for just as long too. This could be the films themselves that are collected, and let’s face it Disney do not make many bad films. Now the thing with this merchandise is that some of it is bought for children to play with, but some of it is also purchased by collectors who will keep it in immaculate condition to retain, or increase it’s value. That is not to say that they do not enjoy looking at them too, but they do not get played with and damaged in any way. Even though that is usually what toys are made for.

Star Wars is of course one of the most famous Sci Fi series but the success of this trilogy is not only because of the epic movies. When the movies first got released at a three year interval, it soon became clear that Star Wars was a way of life for many fans.

Many items surrounding the movies were released like books, comics, television series, games, toys and all sorts of other merchandise, which made it possible for the Star Wars fan to be involved between releases. Soon people started organizing meetings to exchange merchandise and collector´s items and annual conventions were being held all over the world.

Star Wars had turned into something far bigger than a few movies and the fans were there to stay.

Even now, well over 30 years after the release of the first episode, people spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on merchandise and toys, to be able to stage complete scenes from the movies.

The Lego Star War sets are a great example, they lend themselves perfectly for this goal and you can in fact rebuild the complete galaxy with all the battleships, entire battles and figurines. When I was younger there were lots of things i loved, Marvel Comics and Star Wars.

When the newer films for Star Wars came out i was very excited, when films like X-men came out it was even better. Hugh Jackman killed it as wolverine, very convincing and very likeable and his sideburns, well..if i could grow them like that i would.  He even made me wanna go to the gym, although i have to admit, that didn’t last long.  So anyways I often trawl the internet or go to toy exhibitions to see if there are any cool new toys that continue the franchise and are worthy of buying.  Well i think i have found one such toy.  It’s this new LEGO Star Wars Minifigure Clock.  They have a Stormtrooper, Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker and Yoda in their range at the moment, and i’ve gotta say; they look great and are very, very cool.
