Batman Year
I want to get into Batman comics, where do I start?
After watching Batman Begins and Dark Knight, it has greatly increased my interest in the Batman mythos.
I’ve already started reading Batman: Year One; I know it kickstarted the Modern Batman. I’m going to follow up with the Long Halloween and Dark Victory, and then The Killing Joke. After that, though, I’m clueless. What should I read next all the way up to the current events; Battle for the Cowl/Return of Bruce Wayne?
From what I can determine, everything before “Zero Hour” happened in of questionable continuity & not nessisarily part of the current canon & timeline. aka “I didn’t happen” or “things have changed.” Before that, everything before “Crisis on Infinite Earths” was eccentially retconned.
Even though I’m knocking off 50 years of Batman, you still have a LOT of reading to do.
Batman is in all of these series.
(A date indicates that there are older series with the same name).
